Mandela Day is an important reminder to do good. On 18 July 2017 AfrA Foundation spent time renovating Norma Road Primary’s Grade R play park. Mr. Swartz the Principal says, “over the past few years the Grade R learners had to use a community park off the premises due to the condition of the schools play park”. He said, due to the schools financial situation they have had to prioritize teaching and learning resources. Mr. Swartz said due the AfrA partnership the Grade R learners would have their play park again, cutting out time wasted in walking  to and fro the community park. AfrA believes leaners should be engaged body, mind and soul and therefore the play park on school premises is important.

It was good to see learners, volunteers and community join in to get the play park ready for when the Grade R learners return from school vacation.
