Our Goals and Objectives are:
Goal 1 – AfrAGrow
To build specialized capacity in young professionals in areas critical to society through supporting them to develop their skills in areas in which they have less experience. This will be achieved through developing pool of experts and entrepreneurs working in the areas of Health, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Science and Education who will transfer their skills. This group will volunteer their time and share their expertise with young professionals who have entered the workplace, through delivering targeted workshops and training.
Goal 2 – GroundZEROCultureCLUB
To develop a platform that provides young adults with the opportunity to showcase their innovative and creative talents in areas such as music, poetry, art, film and to build their social networks. These opportunities will take the form of social events, known as Ground ZERO Culture CLUB. Skills transfer will also occur in the form of workshops, which in turn will be a source of income for these artists.
Goal 3 – Student 100
To support deserving students through financial partnerships with individuals and companies. This is not a bursary scheme. Students are put forward by their institutions, a selection is made by AfrA and every month one student will receive a once off payment to use towards their studies. The student agrees to pay forward 10% of what they receive to a deserving student of their choice. This initiative is a partnership opportunity in giving and being a transformer of lives.
