African Entrepreneurs Workshop 13 May 2017
Entrepreneurs Workshop 9 December 2017
Our entrepreneurs workshop catered for young adults at different stages of their entrepreneurial journey. Those with an idea and wanting to translate it into a business plan, those already in business but needing to re-invent their businesses and those needing to take the next step in growing their business. With speakers like Crispin Sonn from Gamiro, Waleed Davids from Regents Business Solutions, Siyasanga Sakuba from SEDA and an inspirational but challenging Arifa Parkar from AASHA Investment Solutions and WECBOF we ensure a solid foundation for young entrepreneurs and an opportunity to engage with game changers in the entrepreneurial field. We hope to see their ideas translate into businesses that add value to their lives, our country's economy and their communities.
To our young entrepreneurs we say "know thyself " and "learn how to manage both success and failure in your business".
GroundZEROCultureCLUB Benefit Event 10 March 2018
On the 10th March 2018 AfrA Foundation celebrated its 7th GroundZEROCultureCLUB event through hosting a benefit event in collaboration with the Winston Siljeur Project at Fernwood Estate in Newlands, Cape Town. GroundZEROCultureCLUB is a platform where young adults (18-35 years of age) can showcase their talent in music, art, photography, film, dance and poetry. This event was the first open air GroundZEROCultureCLUB event and hopefully not the last in celebrating exceptional young talent. We had over 30 participants showcasing their talent. The music was phenomenal, the art, photography and film inspiring, the dance on point and the poetry touched your heart. Don't miss out on our next event in May. GroundZEROCultureCLUB happen every two months.
We sincerely thank Winston Siljeur for his incredible collaboration, Paul Bothner for generously providing equipment, ESL Sound and Lighting for being on point, the multiple musicians, artists, photographers, film makers, dancers and poets for utilizing the platform. A special thanks to Blue Room Records for joining us, Nicki Jo Photography, the AfrA Foundation Volunteers for their support and the audience for coming to support young South African talent.
